Sachiko Kodama

An atomic bomb survivor, she was the beloved wife of the late Masahiko and loving mother of Shinya.

She was born Sachiko Uchimoto in Hiroshima, Japan on September 18, 1930, and came to the United States in December 1973. She worked many years at United Bindery which was operated by her late uncle, Ted Uchimoto.

Sachiko loved to host gatherings and cook delicious meals for family and friends. She dedicated her life to being the best wife, the best mom and best friend to those who came to know her. She is remembered for her beautiful smile which lit up the room and provided comfort and joy to those around and close to her. Sachiko loved music, watching TV Japan and any Japanese music programs. She also played piano.

Her family would like to thank those who have had the honor and privilege of being close to Sachiko. She will always be in our hearts, and she is now in heaven free of any pain or suffering and smiling down on us.
