JASC: The Story of Chiune Sugihara: A Picture Book Representation (Online)

Join the Japan America Society of Chicago for a captivating presentation on “The Story of Chiune Sugihara,” a picture book that recounts the heroic actions of Chiune Sugihara, a Japanese diplomat who saved the lives of thousands of Jewish refugees during World War II. Learn about his courageous acts and the power of compassion in the face of adversity. Families are welcome. “The Story of Chiune Sugihara” is appropriate for kids age 6+. Featured speaker is Ann Hoekstra, Author, Illustrator & Presenter. Pro Bono ASL will provide ASL (American Sign Language) access.
